Early Intervention
(Ages 2-5: Addressing Restless Sleep & Behavioral Changes)
As your child grows, so do their needs. From ages 2 to 5, it’s common to see changes in sleep and behavior. In this stage, we focus on:
Identifying Sleep Disordered Breathing (SDB)
Recognizing symptoms like mouth breathing, restless sleep, and snoring, which can impact behavior and development.
Craniofacial Health & Development
Evaluating the role of proper airway development, such as tongue posture and breathing through the nose, which is essential for both sleep quality and emotional regulation
Neurocognitive and Behavioral Impacts
Research shows a strong association between SDB and neurocognitive challenges like inattention, hyperactivity, and difficulties with memory and executive function. Children with untreated SDB may exhibit signs similar to ADHD, underscoring the need for early intervention to prevent long-term impacts
Parental Education
Helping parents understand the link between SDB, oral health, and developmental milestones, along with practical techniques for bedtime calm
Our interventions during this age can contribute to healthier sleep patterns, helping children feel rested, more focused, and ready to learn and explore
